PHOTOGRAPHY
Ilay’s photographs of India, Pakistan
and Purbeck have been widely published
in journals and magazines and were
selected for all the images in his
books, The Painted Towns of
Shekhawati and Purbeck Revealed.
They were also chosen for half the
pictures in Traditional Buildings of
India and some of those used in
Arts and Crafts of India and in
Traditional Indian Textiles by John
Gillow, all published by Thames and
Hudson. He has a large and very varied
collection of excellent Indian and
Pakistani images available. These cover
many monuments, domestic buildings,
scenery, wall paintings of all manner of
subjects, crafts, fairs and festivals,
holy places etc from all parts of the
subcontinent.
He also has a fine
